Nice to meet you!

When I was a little girl, I mostly just wanted to be myself when I grew up. That's a process I'm still unraveling. Becoming more myself. I think we all are working towards that, in our own way.

As I become more and more who I truly am, I am finding that art and the inner life go hand in hand. I've also found that our day jobs - no matter what they are - must also be interwoven into our spiritual lives - or our "inner lives", as I like to call them.

Bio:

Recently named as a 2016 Livingston Fellow through the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, Jami Duffy joined Youth on Record, a Colorado social justice nonprofit, in 2009 as Executive Director, and has since provided the strategic direction, operational management and fundraising expertise that has led to consistent growth, national brand recognition. She spearheaded the organization’s $2M capital campaign to build their state-of- the-art Youth Media Studio, which is now open six days per week to youth throughout metro Denver.

In addition, Jami has been a studio artist at Blue Silo Studios in Denver since March 2018, where she creates in abstract paintings, sculpture, and creative writing in an attempt to find the intersections between art, spirituality and social justice.

Jami is a locally and nationally recognized thought leader and innovator in social justice education, engaging under-served youth, and creating equitable communities through the arts.

In 2017, Jami was appointed to the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs, where she actively advocates for ways to make Denver’s arts economy as equitable as possible. She has served on panels before the National Endowment for the Arts, and the U.S. Department of Labor, among others, and is a sought-after expert on youth development and mentoring for Denver's most vulnerable young people. She is also the co-founder of All in Denver, a nonprofit organization the seeks to advance equity in local public policy.
